Photography is my intervention upon the anonymity of urban space. Social being is charged with myriad energies, eroticism and aggression, which know no individuation. I encourage my viewer to grasp the intimacy seething within the cityscape by portraying the urban environment as an engine for the fractured release and exchange of these myriad energies. As much as with more pastoral surroundings, and indeed moreso in the era of consumer capitalism, our modes of living interweave us with the fabric of the city. As we commune with one another, we commune with the city enveloping us. |
