These are two images from an extensive series of personal vistas I have been working on since I have been in Mexico the last five months. Here the light is strong and creates an edge that I have yet to see anywhere else. Because of this I have incorporated the ideas I respond to from painting and use my favorite theme of abstraction and color to express my vision. My images are about color, form and line and how they function together to create a unity; a cohesive whole, an abstraction, a shape design or a texture these images represent the underlying abstract surface by cropping out the main object and making the subject exude a personal moment in time. Somehow this tells the story of my life at this moment. |
